Thank you Jonathan for sharing your valuable knowledge and experience. I'd like to take part if you ever go flying around Iceland. You did call in at my old stomping ground, Southport, QLd, Aus, where I spent about 30 years of my life before going back to .my country of origin, Iceland.
Regarding the MSFS 2024. Much has already been written about the simulator both in form of instructions and general comments about the good, the bad and the terribly ugly. One thing I have been searching for ever since the release is; how do you add mods to the sim? In the MSFS 2020 you only needed to unzip the contents of zip file into the community folder, restart the sim and fly. With PMDG it is only a matter of running the install software, similar to Fenix. Not so simple in the 2024. There is, no problem setting up the folder and path but what else is needed for the sim to recognise the content of the community folder. Why is this so problematic? I can't get my head around it despite having been a software engineer for half of my working life. I was hoping that you might be able to shed some light on the matter.
Keep up the good work and don't worry about whether you are a real pilot or not. It's the content shared that counts and not the opinion of some morons who struggle to string together a ten word sentence. Cheers
It's still the community folder - but the new simulator is not directly compatible with the old one - so aircraft and scenery isn't guaranteed to work.
Jonathan - I enjoy your videos! I am brand new to Fight Sim and recently bought all the stuff needed to run MSFS 2024. Question - I can't figure out how to do a "cold and dark" startup. The Free Flight mode just drops me on the runway with the engine running. Can you tell me what I'm missing?

Zoom in to the airport, and start from a parking space or gate :)
Thank you!!!
You Rock!
