What was in the Flight Simulator update?

Quite a lot, it turns out.

If you wondered what was in the recent Flight Simulator update, you’re not the only one. Most of us thought it was just an AIRAC update (the database of airports, waypoints, VORs, NDBs, ILS, and so on), and perhaps a few fixes for bugs at airports here and there.

It was far more.
