Flying the Leonardo MD-88 from Southend to Brussels in Microsoft Flight Simulator
After upgrading the Leonardo MD-82 "Maddog", we now have the MD-83 and MD-88 variants to fly in the simulator - so I thought I might take the MD-88 to Brussels to try it out.
Everything went smoothly until approach into Brussels, when saturation and a lack of recent familiarity with the aircraft conspired to make landing in low visibility and pretty awful weather conditions something of an adventure. It's always instructive though - and as always, I never edit, never sanitise, and leave the slightly hairy situations in for later review and discussion :)
I will admit to laughing out loud when I see other simmers with "cuts" in their video, and think "we both know you screwed up - and now we have nothing to learn from that!" - I'm the opposite. Everything is a learning opportunity.
