Flying an instrument circuit and ILS approach in the Analogue Baron in Microsoft Flight Simulator
An example of flying a simple instrument circuit and ILS approach in the Analogue Baron in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The ILS took us very close to some trees on final approach, but otherwise a wonderful test of the instruments and behaviour of the Baron. Along the way we take a look at the engine modelling and fly somewhat more correctly than we have in the past. Apologies for the loud engine volume - if anything, this is a good example of how loud a real GA aircraft is :)
p.s. Guess who forgot to re-open the cowl flaps on approach, and forgot to switch off the magentos! :) (also - on watching back - notice how approach mode loses the glideslope in the last quarter mile?)
