Autopilot and radio navigation in the Captain Sim Lockheed C-130 Hercules in Flight Simulator
Today we're taking a detailed look at autopilot and radio navigation in the Captain Sim Lockheed C-130 Hercules in Microsoft Flight Simulator - trying out the various modes of the autopilot, using altitude hold, the gyro pilot, "Range Loc" mode, and "AFF Loc" modes. We finish (after a great example of saturation) with an ILS approach into Edwards using the autopilot to guide us in.
This is simply the best navigation training class I have ever taken in over 60 years of flying real world and MS Flight Simulator. I wish I had this training when I attended advanced RW flight school at Fort Rucker Alabama in 1968. Thank You.
